The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 剧本以对镜自照作结，第四段末从性（有目的的、近乎宣言式的、愉快的性）一下转到refresh自我，堪称豹尾，也很大程度上消弭了全片性元素之工具化的扎眼感：如果不是结尾一笔，我会质疑编剧通过分散在四个有设计感、功利性强、易概括、前后有递进感的段落中各类细碎小话题（有的话题被探讨得很好，但有的则浅尝辄）和包含在内的男女主的背景故事是否能达到对性的理解和释然，更遑论全片都没有一个毫无功利性的关于性本身的段落，一切都停留在台词上的认可（尤其是第四幕那个在咖啡馆的关于性的宣言，甚是功利）但既然最终落脚点停留在自我，那被工具化的性和旁枝斜曳的人生话题是不影响整体框架的。这种点到话题就假装达成释悟的片子我愿称之为教学片。Emma表演太有说服力了，在程式化的剧本里依然塑造了完整的有厚度的动人的女性。

剧本很精彩，越是简单场景越难拍，整个过循序渐进很流畅，两个人之间的互动也很好看。

every thing is about sex except sex
电影是一个顶着让人窥猎的题材实际表达伦理和治愈内涵的影片。两人物出场，令人印象深刻的是一个面对真实自我矛盾又拘束。一个回避隐藏自我，眼里有光。人物的接触里有倾听、交流、尊重、坦诚、理解、关注、接纳，文明礼貌潇洒幽默，更像是一种疗愈过程。
理解关于女性寻找自我寻找性解放的部分，但是纯粹的买卖关系越界了就不再美妙了。
理解，但基于个人立场不喜欢，提供高质量情欲体验的圣人和言行举止非常维多利亚时期的白人女性，这样的梦幻组合就像少女浪漫爱情文学那样不现实，甚至会作为坏榜样，但有其治愈性。again，基于个人立场的偏见。
“Sexual fulfilment is a powerful thing.” And surely we should all have it.
片子给我的整体感觉就是特别的干净，直接体现在画面上。
有些理想化了其实，清新得如同一场fantasy。（莫名发现自己好像更容易代入Leo这个角色及其职业，even as a woman）（Emma Thompson演得真是太好了）
都说没什么好的女性向porn，看，这不就有了嘛
看完了《祝你好运，里奥·格兰德》，喜欢大段对话的人应该会喜欢这部电影，反之会觉得女知识分子怎么那么叨逼叨，破坏了气氛(性欲)。
